Arena

The Arena is where the seeded failure injection work lives. Every practical hands you a real artifact from the course, asks for the finding, and gives you a flag when the finding matches the artifact.

Range console

The console carries the seeded Week 2 files and implements the commands from lessons 5 and 6: grep, awk, sort, uniq -c, head, wc, cat and sha256sum. Join stages with a pipe. It is a practice surface over the seeded files, not the lab container.

One command per line. Run ls to see the files, and grep "Failed password" w02-range.log | awk '{print $9}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -rn | head -5 to start the Week 2 exercise.

The Arena keeps the attempt budget in this browser. Ten checks a minute per account and thirty an hour per session. The minute budget follows the browser profile, the hour budget ends with the session.
